IR Heat Rejecting Filters

ESI’s infrared shielding filters reduce the temperature on outdoor LCD panels by up to 50% with respect to air temperature. This temperature reduction is critical for LCD displays to be operational in sunlight conditions or to the rear of touch screens to reduce heat loading issues on outdoor displays. ESI’s IR blocking filters (infrared blocking filters) prevent blackout on outdoor displays by reducing the surface temperature of the display.

ESI offers a solar blocking film that is laminated between glass, plastic or to the rear of touch screens to reduce heat loading issues on outdoor displays. Heat rejecting / IR shielding filters are used in outdoor displays to reject infrared rays and heat so blackouts won’t occur on the display surface.
